Job Description:
Are you a current Residential House Manager or a Direct Support Professional looking to expand your skill set and take on a leadership role? If so, then we have an exciting opportunity available as a CILA Support Director. As the CILA Support Director, you will be working with individuals with developmental disabilities to promote an atmosphere of quality, independence, and fun. Essential Job Functions: -Support and Promote CTF ILLINOIS Mission, Vision and Values -Coordinate and oversee individual participation in the community -Maintain an active presence within the home -Ensure the overall cleanliness, safety, and maintenance of the home -Adhere to each home’s budgetary requirement in the areas of staffing levels, supplies, equipment and utilities -Submit accurate and timely reports to the business office -Ensure adequate and appropriate food items, home and personal goods and supplies -Interview, hire, train, mentor, supervise, discipline, evaluate, and terminate DSPs -Monitor individual funds -Carry a cell phone, participate in on-call rotation as required Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: -Monitor survey process by attending all surveys and maintaining a positive rapport with surveyors. -Assist in opening and/or acquiring new facilities, as necessary. -Organize, oversee, and participate in special projects including, revisions to policies and procedures, individual special events and vacations, and staff appreciation and training events. -Assist in representing the organization in dealings with outside agencies, including governmental agencies, and third party payers. -Participate in a peer review quality assurance rotation. -Adhere to terms and conditions of employment as outlined by the CTF ILLINOIS Employee Handbook and job description -As required by DHS, complete an additional 12 hours of continuing education units per year, at least 6 of which will be provided from outside the agency and submit certificates of completion to appropriate parties within CTF ILLINOIS -Complete DHS-approved DSP training curriculum within 60 days of hire. -Complete DHS-approved QIDP training curriculum within 6 months of hire. Experience Required:
Required Experience, Education and/or Training: -Minimum 1 years experience with individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities. -High School Diploma or GED -Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record Additional Experience, Education and/or Training Preferred: -Prefer previous DSP training. -Prefer previous managerial experience
