Job Description:
The Therapeutic Recreation & Education Manager plans, implements, and oversees therapeutic recreation programs and activities for clients. Act as a leader in the collaboration with clients, family members, the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT) and other stakeholders to implement and monitor client Support Plan goals through therapeutic recreation programs and interventions. Coordinate and plan agency-wide client events. Collaborate with outside consultants to schedule a variety of activities for clients.
Experience Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Therapeutic Recreation or comparable field required. Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Certification preferred. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities. Experience implementing therapeutic recreation interventions. Valid driver’s license, personal vehicle, and ability to travel to multiple sites required.
